119. Street Tree Planting. Street Tree planting must be undertaken in accordance with the West Ryde Street Tree Master Plan to Council’s satisfaction at no cost to Council. 83. Tree Protection Plan and Specification. 82. Tree Protection Fencing. All protective fencing and signage around Tree Protection Zones (TPZs) must be located in accordance with AS4970: Protection of trees on development sites. The following trees as referenced within the Arboricultural Development Impact Assessment Report prepared by Birds Tree Consultancy and dated 22.12.23 must be retained and protected: Trees 1-3, 6-17, 25-28, 31-40 and 56 located within the subject site; Tree 1 located on the Ryedale Road verge; and Tree 33 located within neighbouring properties. 107. Tree works – provision of arborist details. Council is to be notified, in writing, of the name, contact details and qualifications of the Consultant Arborist appointed to the site. Should these details change during the course of works, or the appointed Consultant Arborist alter, Council is to be notified, in writing, within seven working days. (Reason: To ensure Council is notified of the Project Arborist).
140. Excavation for services within Tree Protection Zone (TPZ). Any excavation for services or grading/re-grading within the identified TPZs of trees to be retained shall be carried out by hand using manual hand tools. Roots greater than 25mm are not to be damaged or severed without the prior written approval of the Project Arborist.
164. Compensatory Tree Planting. The developer is to do compensatory tree planting of one Ficus rubiginosa (Port Jackson Fig) in a 100 litre pot to be located in the adjoining Reserve before issue of any Occupation Certificate. The applicant to contact City of Ryde Parks Department to identify the location to plant the tree.
103. Tree protection – no unauthorised removal. This consent does not authorise the removal of trees unless specifically permitted by a condition of this consent or identified as approved for removal. on the approved plans (Reason: To ensure trees are not removed from the site unless there is approval for the work).

143. Tree works – Australian Standards. All tree work must be carried out by a qualified and experienced Arborist with a minimum of AQF level 3 in Arboriculture with NSW Work Cover Code of Practice for Amenity Tree Industry (1998) and AS4373 Pruning of amenity trees (2007).
